I usually start the kids school year right after Labor Day in September. This year though I've decided to get a much earlier start. I want the option of finishing sooner as we are expecting next summer to be very busy so I want some wiggle room with school schedules. Plus the girls were actually getting bored and were very excited when I mentioned starting earlier. We'll see how long that lasts : )
We're beginning with review time to get the brains back in school mode and refresh their memories for what progress we did make last year. I'll use the supplies I have on hand and then the materials I've ordered will be here in about a week so we can begin to add this years lessons into the mix.
After finishing up for the day the girls set off to play and I got my materials set to move forward on the kids bathroom. I've finished the glazing, but may add a bit more of the undercoat paint over it to tone down the color a bit more. Will live with it a little while as I begin the layering work on the sink and cabinet. Here are the progress pictures for today.
Glazing done on walls (maybe), and first coat of primer on counter |
Kevin was back at work today then had several things that took priority once home, so no progress on the stucco today.
Isn't it wonderful to have the flexibility to adjust our school schedule to fit our lives? Love how you fill your days with positive, productive activities for each of you. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is great to have the flexibility and was part of our decision years ago to homeschool. Weren't as productive today. It got so hot that we just were moving in slow motion. Will be SO glad to get our new A/C unit this weekend!!!!
