The answer is the "CHICKEN". We have had the chickens for several months and today they provided us with our first eggs. I will answer this the way they taught me in law school: The chicken took 5 months to mature, the chicken laid the egg, without a hen to brood (or a modern incubator), an egg would not hatch and no chicks would be born, therefore, God created the Chicken first.
We were down to our last 4 store purchased eggs in the refrigerator, and now have 3 fresh eggs to add to the container. The eggs may be smaller right now, but the hens still have some growing to do and their eggs will get about a medium to large size when the hens are fully grown.
