What's Blooming?

This has been a busy month building garden beds, the hoop house over our tower garden and vertical garden system, hydroponic systems using the Kratky method and still completing the fireplace.  I'll post pictures of our other projects as we complete them, but since I'm so behind in updating this blog I thought I'd share a few pictures of some of the pretty flowers as plants and trees in the yard begin to bloom.

Hope you enjoy!!

Pomegranate blossoms

Hoping to get pomegranates to eat

Purple Queen (Tradescantia pallida)

Sea Grape blossom

Canna Tropicana

Cranberry Hibiscus (Edible Gardening - leaves are good in salad or cooked like spinach)

Dutch Iris

Nasturtium (edible gardening - flowers and leaves great in salad with peppery taste)

Orange tree blossoms

Pineapples - blooming from pineapples I grew from the tops of store bought ones after we ate them

Love these!!!  Will let you know how they taste after they're large enough to harvest.

That's it for now - happy gardening!!
