On Thursday morning we picked Amber and Eddie up at the Disney Hotel and then spent the day at Epcot. It was a really warm day so we found as many cool rides and shows inside out of the heat as possible. Disney had a Wine and Food Festival going on, so the park was a bit more crowded than a normal Thursday would be. It was a beautiful day to enjoy their last one at the park, at least for this visit.
We toured all the "lands" and had a wonderful time.
Downtown Disney's was our destination for dinner at Wolfgang Puck's Express Restaurant. Then a nice stroll before calling it a day and heading home.
Friday was our last full day with Amber and Eddie visiting. We decided to stay locally and relax a bit. Lunch was at Wolfy's by Lake Monroe and then a pleasant walk through Gemini Springs Park.
One of the two springs that move 5 million gallons of water a day through them |
A large fish you could see in the clear water, sadly for the guys these were in the "no fishing" part of the park : ( |
After dropping Patrick and Jennifer off at home it was over to Grandma and Poppies to visit and for Amber and Eddie to say their good byes.
They'll head back to California on a flight out of Orlando this evening. I can already tell by the sad face Hannah had when she got up this morning that the good bye will be a hard one.
We've loved having them here and this week went WAY too fast!!! So, plans for their next visit will just have to begin.
